Welcome to Sol Fitness! Congratulations, you’ve taken a step that only 4% of people take, you scheduled a discovery session with a personal trainer, pat yourself on the back!
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable before and during your consultation, so feel free to ask any questions leading up to your big day! 🤗
Tips to best prepare for your Discovery Session and upcoming new lifestyle:
Spend some time thinking about your intention for show up for yourself.
What would you change if you could? Why would you change it?
When do you want to accomplish your goal?
Drink at least 80 oz of water per day leading up to the session.
Depending on your current fitness level, we recommend moving your body, in a way that feels comfortable to you, each day leading up to your session. (Stretching and walking are great ways to engage your body and prepare your mind for your new commitment)
Our goal is to learn about you so we know how to best serve YOU. Your training is customized to you and your goals so the more we learn about you, the better! Feel free to write down some of your thoughts, feelings, goals, and bring them with you.
During your Discovery Session, we will discuss:
Your fitness, health, and wellness goals
Health history
Past injuries
Anything else that you feel is relevant for us to know about you as your trainer
Your options for training. We offer Private Training, Semi-Private Training, Small Group Training, Hybrid In-Person Online Training.
Pricing options
After your Discovery Session, we will:
Perform a Movement Screening and Fitness Assessment
Don’t stress, this is not a workout! However, you will be led through a series of movements and testing your heart health so be ready to sweat a little.
In the movement assessment we are assessing the way you naturally move so we know which muscles are overactive, underactive, etc. Once we identify this we know which muscles need to be strengthened, stretched, and mobilized to get your body moving well and back in alignment. This helps us design a great training program that’s specific to your body.
What to wear?
Your favorite workout clothes! 🥳 You won’t be doing a full workout, but the movement screening will make you work up a little sweat. 💦
Arrival
Please feel free to come in when you get to the gym! If we are with a client, feel free to make a cup of tea or coffee, or fill up your water bottle, while you wait.
