A reiki infused sound bath is the pinnacle of relief and restoration - delighting your energy body while lulling your physical body into peaceful comfort. Special guest Jordan Cash, sound meditation facilitator and reiki practitioner, will use her seven crystal singing bowls to take you on a journey of sound and relaxation. Together, we'll sooth your nervous system to alleviate symptoms of mental health conditions, lower your blood pressure, reduce stress, and overall enhance quality of life. During the sound bath, you'll be led through gentle, peaceful, yin yoga poses by Erin. Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body, and the meridians. This is in contrast to a yang yoga practice such as yoga flow which targets the muscles. Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of energy in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits.
Yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a deeply meditative practice that brings the practitioner to a state of relaxed consciousness between waking and sleeping. It allows one to drop down from the thinking mind into the feeling body. Yoga nidra has many proven benefits, including improved sleep, reduced insomnia, improved memory and concentration, reduced stress and anxiety, elevated mood and well-being, and improved emotional regulation.
