☀️ THIS CLASS IS OPEN TO SOL ACADEMY CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER AND CPT STUDENTS ONLY ☀️
Sol Academy Certified Personal Trainer Pro Series | Compound Mechanics: Part I
At Sol Academy, our mission is to provide high-quality, career-focused education at an accessible price—while keeping the human element at the heart of learning. Our CPT Pro Series is a cornerstone of that mission, offering exclusive, in-person education for our Certified Personal Trainer students and local fitness professionals. These sessions are designed to deepen understanding, sharpen skills, and bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
This July, we're kicking off a three-part Compound Mechanics Series with the Squat.
The squat is one movement pattern with dozens of moving parts. This session breaks the mechanics down joint by joint, hip, knee, and ankle, so you understand not just what a good squat looks like, but why it works.
We'll break down:
Squat anatomy and biomechanics: hip, knee, and ankle mechanics, joint stacking, and spinal alignment under load
Programming the squat: progressions, regressions, and load management across skill levels
Common squat compensations and what they tell you: knee valgus, forward lean, heel lift, and asymmetries
Adapting the squat for mobility restrictions, injuries, and different client populations
Real-world coaching: cueing, spotting, and making in-session adjustments that actually work
This is where you'll start to see the squat as a system, not a single move. Once you understand the mechanics, cueing, loading, and adapting all get easier.
As with all Sol Academy Pro Series classes, this session is intentionally designed to be hands-on, conversational, and rooted in real-world coaching scenarios, supporting your growth as a confident, informed fitness professional.
